Process knowhow is vital for ensuring business continuity in the long term. It must be available in a form that can be transmitted, must be validated, and regularly updated. The competitiveness of our processes must be verified periodically by benchmarks. 

This standard provides a checklist for self-assessment covering mainly the following topics:

• Benchmarking and technology watch
• Access to process and technology expertise
• Development and innovation

This will lead to:

• Training material for new hires or for continuing education
• Driver for continuous improvement

There are a few elements required to put such a standard in place:
