4. Skip the first interface ( Logon to SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform ).
5. The The following "Select Data Source" interface shows. Make sure the following two BW servers are in the list:
PQ1 (Solvay Legacy BW server ) (Analysis training is done on PQ1, so be sure to have it in the list )
WBP ( Rhodia Legacy BW server)
If they are not in the list, please contact local IT (SMIO) to update the SAPLogon.ini file.
For For some users(mainly Solvay legacy), WBP comes right after PQ1, they are:
BW - Production - PQ1
BW - Production - WBP

For other users( mainly Rhodia Legacy), there are two WBP servers, make sure thethe
"OR-- BW !!! Production WBP !!! are in the list. We are using this one.

Execute the "SAP Logon" program. It should be in your Program Files --> SAP Front End --> SAP Logon :
If you do not find this it means the the SAP Logon is not installed on your PC.
This will open a SAP window displaying the list of all SAP Servers. Click on the top left corner of the window and then select About SAP Logon...

How to update your saplogon.ini file (SAP servers list)
Note : The saplogon.ini is a file that contains the list of servers displayed when you connect to SAP. It is a small text file you can find in C:\windows.
To update the saplogon file run the following program (not download):
ema:priv:rhodia:ftp://frparwd1.ema.priv.rhodia.com/TA/get_saplogon_ini:.bat+
This program will automatically download the last version of the standard file and save it in the correct location (C:/Windows). Your previous file will be renammed and saved in the same folder.

What difference between a query and a workbook ?
A Query is an object that contains the way to extract the data from the database. It defines the fields (Characteristics), calculations (Key Figures), filters from the database.
A Workbook is an excel file with one or more embedded Queries. It can have several queries is used to save the result and the layout of the report.
A typical use is to execute a query, change the layout and then save the result as a workbook.
The BW team provides both queries and worbooks to users (Workbooks are usually used because we can include documentation in the excel sheets).
Report results
BW will not repeat all the values in each line and instead will show a blank value. Is there a way to have BW repeat the values ?
