A Tile is a type of content that you can insert into the homepage of your space for promotional purposes.

Step-by-step guide


 

Step 1: Reach to the page

  1. By using the navigation, go to the page where you want to create and insert a new an existing Tile.
 

Step 2:

Create and insert new Tile

Insert content (Tile)

1. Activate XPM by clicking on the button.

 

 

 

In "SDL Tridion" button, then in the ribbon toolbar, go to Home tab and click on Insert Content > Create and insert new Insert Content.

2. Onclick, you will see a Tile sample component the structure of Solvay ONE in the left panel.

 

Select xxx - Tile (according to your entity).

 

Click on the ">" sign to browse to the spotlight you want to insert into the page.

It is important to select the one that correspond to your Entity as the content will be pre-tag and correctly stored in your Entity folder.

3. Click on the Choose button.Image Removed

4. A pop-in will appear.

 

Enter the title for the Tile in the "Content Title" field.

 

Click on Create and Insert Content button.

Step 3: Save

 
  1. To save your changes and publish in staging, click on Finish Editing button.

2. Consult your page.

 

Disactivate the "Edit mode" by clicking on the Dashboard tab and then click on Exit.

Your page is now available in "staging" environment.

Tiles are normally arranged in each Entity's folder.

To arrive to the location, click on Building Blocks > Component > 1 ONE > <entity name> > 1 Tile

3. Drag'n drop the Tile component that you want to insert to the correct location.

titleCannot insert the component?

IF you get an error message, you probably double-clicked the concerned item or uses the "Green" button, instead of drag'n dropping the item to the expected location.
