Overview


Follow these steps to replace the top banner of your space. Keep in mind that this banner is displayed in details on your space home page, then declined in the rest of your space pages with approximately the half of it height (see Multimedia formats (Solvay ONE) to get details about that).

Step 1: Reach location

  1. Reach the following Tridion Content Manager path (click the link):
    \SW W1 ONE Master\Building Blocks\Component\1 ONE\

2. According to your entity, reach your space sub-folder, then the "1 Banner".

Example: \SW W1 ONE Master

Attention

No XPM is configured for this content. The creation/edition has to be done in Tridion Content Manager (Back office) itself.

  1. According to your entity, go to the following location in the Tridion Content Manager.

Step 2:

Create new space

Update the banner

1. Create a new component.Double click the banner component in this folder

2. Start editing your content:Keep the default "Edit the parent item", then press "OK"Image Added

  • Name field > Enter the space name and 'banner' e.g. Communication banner
  • Title field > Enter a value. The title of the banner will be shown in both Master and Content page. It should correspond to the entity/space name E.g. Communication
  • Short description field > Enter a description value
    to promote the identity of the space
    . The description of the banner will only be visible for all visitors in Master page but not Content page.
  • Picture field > Select a picture from Keepeek directory
  • Link field > Select a component. Onclick on the banner, it will bring the visitor to the page. Recommended: The master page component

    Step 3: Save and publish

    1. Save the component by clicking on the Save and Close button in the ribbon toolbar.

    Step 3: Publish

    1. Ensure the banner component is selected, then press "Publish"

    2. Tick "Staging", Untick "Live", then press "Publish" 

    3. To publish it in Live, repeat the 1. and 2. points, but ticking "Live" instead of "Staging"

    titleCheck the result in Staging

    As usual, always check the result of your changes in Staging before publishing in Live

     

    2. Go to the same location to find the component in the SW Wx publication.

    Right click and select Publishing > Publish (select All child).
