PO2 - Impact on BW reports

2 major changes in BW

In the frame of the project PO2, there was 2 major changes on BW reports

  1. New authorization scopes replaced the authorization scope SOLVAY:
    • ECO to be used by SOLVAY users
    • SCO to be used by SYENSQO users
  2. New consolidation views are available.
    • 2 - ECO - New consolidation view for SOLVAY companies
    • 3 - SCO - New consolidation view for SYENSQO companies

=> The consolidation view 1=SOLVAY can not be used anymore

In the query prompt,  Authorization  Scopes  SOLVAY   and   #  MUST NOT BE USED ANYMORE, instead you should only use   ECO   and/or   SCO . This general rule is not applicable to EHS application users.

Overview of changes

1. New authorization scopes

PO2 - BW - Authorization scopes
The Authorization scope (technical name = C_AUTHMA) is a field that is used in BW to segregate authorization depending on the user profile.

Until D1, all Solvay users have by default access to all company codes SOLVAY.

From D1, ECO users will only have access to the data of the legal entities ECO, and SCO users to the legal entities SCO.

Only users working for the TSA will have access to the data of the legal entities ECO and SCO.

Frequently asked questions

A company is allocated to an authorization scope with the table Table ZZF_T001_MGT_V - Company codes

ex. the company 0001 is assigned to the scope 02 - ECO

1. Check the authorization scope in the prompt. If you are working for a GBU ECO, you must enter the authorization scope = ECO.

2. Check that you do not enter inconsistent data in the prompt. For instance:

3. Specific cases: Working capital & Credit management

    • The option conso view = 0 doesn't work. If you need a non consolidated view of the working capital, you need to use the dedicated query "WC Accounting (not conso) view"

4. Once you've done all these checks and if it still doesn't work, you can create a ticket in service one

Please follow this process if you need to open a ticket for Hypercare:

1- Report an  IT issue on Service One

2- Select the issue type "Hypercare"

3- Select the project Po2_Data_Analytics

4- For the Subject, please write "BW  authorization"

5- Then, add a title + description with details about:

> What query was executed

> What selection criteria was used

> Keep in mind that you can only use ECO and SCO in the prompt. SOLVAY and # will not work anymore
