Conversion rules:
- Transportation Costs (Query TIERS): conversion from a local currency to EUR or USD is based on the exchange rate managed by Finance. For each cost, the rate considered is the one of its reference month*.
* The reference month of a transportation cost is :
- the actual completion month
- the planned completion month if the actual completion month is not available
- the shipment creation date if the planned completion month is also not available
- Inventory Values in BW (Query Working Capital): conversion from a local currency to EUR or USD is based on a fixed exchange rate. The rate applied on all inventory values (regardless of the inventory month) is the rate of the day of the last dashboard update.
- Inventory Values in Finance (Query FOCUS) : conversion from a local currency to EUR is based on the exchange rate managed by Finance. For each inventory value, the rate considered is the one of the inventory month.
For USD, we don’t have all the exchange rates because it's not the official currency at Solvay (EUR). So for the following countries: Argentina, Bulgaria, Egypt, Mexico, New Zealand and Switzerland, when selecting USD, the unit will not be USD but the local currency. |
