SAP is the ERP used by Solvay. In this tool, data are posted in real time. Those data are sent to other tools such as BFC (consolidated views), BW (analysis tool) or Business Object (used by sales forces).

 

Data from SAP are reworked to reach GBUs' expectations.

  • SAP uses the concept of controlling areas (see this page). In WP1, there are several controlling areas used according to zones. Consequently, GBu are not able to see full worldwide P/L but only full P/L by controlling area that means by zone. BW reports allows the display of full P/L for all the entities whatever the controlling area.
  • BW reports allow GBUs to see consolidated data coming from other ERP as well.
