Idemitsu SM (Malaysia) is likely to shut its styrene monomer (SM) plant for maintenance in 2014. Located at Pasir Gudang in Malaysia, the SM plant has a production capacity of 600,000 mt/year.

The plant is likely to be off-stream for a maintenance turnaround in August 2014. The plant is expected to remain under a maintenance turnaround for around 40 days, according to a Polymerupdate source in Malaysia.
