Taiwan's Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) is expected to shut down its 280,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile (ACN) plant in Mailiao in early February 2014 for scheduled turnaround, a company source said on Friday.

The maintenance will last around a month, the source said.

The plant is currently running at around 90% of capacity, according to the source.
