Taiwan’s China Petrochemical Development Corp (CPDC) is expected to shut down its 240,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile (ACN) plant in Kaohsiung in late October for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

The plant has two lines with a capacity of 120,000 tonnes/year each.

One line will be shut around 23 October, while the other line will be taken offline around 27 October, the source said, adding that both lines are expected to be shut for around 15 days.
