The cause of this issue lies in the browser’s language settings. For IE that is:

Open the Internet Options dialog
On tab General, click Languages
Make sure that the English (en-US) language (or another language that uses a point for decimal separator) is on the top of the list.

Do not forget to modify the link to the Parent Page within the macro.
