Starting January 1st, 2026, the functionalities of the chemistry module in ELN will be significantly reduced:
- For chemistry & stoichiometry items: drawing molecules will no longer be possible
- For stoichiometry items: The automatic update of the stoichiometry table via drawing will no longer be available.
Why is this happening ?
Our ELN vendor (IDBS) has ended its partnership with Chemaxon, the provider of the drawing functionality
How to proceed going forward ?
- For chemistry items: Please use Chemdraw then import your molecule and reaction drawings to the ELN
If you do not have Chemdraw on your computer, please raise a software installation request in Syra. - For stoichiometry items, you have 2 options:
- Complete the stoichiometry item manually directly in IDBS
- Upload your own stoichiometry table Excel file
