For some of the dashboards available in Qliksense, we need to follow two procedures

Steps to find if a dashboard requires section access to be provided.

Step 1: Go to Qliksense QMC link

Step 2: Navigate to Apps tab

Here we can see the list of dashboards available

Step 3: Under the tags, filter with "Section Access", where in it will display only the dashboards for which section access need to be provided.

SECTION ACCESS PROCEDURE

Step 1: Go to the security file: SECURITY - PROD

In the APP column, search the name of the application.

Sometimes, the app(Dashboard name)will not be the exact name of the application as it may be too long.

To make sure, we can go to the APP tab that contains the correspondence between the names used in this file and the name used in Qlik Sense.

For example Selfy KPsI is the name of the app in Qliksense, but in the access sheet, App will be referred to Selfy

Step 2: Add the user in the Security PRod G Sheet.

Before adding, check if the user is available already for the requested application.

If not add them.

All the mandatory columns are: ACCESS, USERID, EMAIL, APP, CREATION_DATE, RESTRICTION and the security dimension(s) specific to the application.

Step 3: Provide access in Qliksense QMC

Refer Step 3 procedure in the below wiki guide

NOTE: All the access provided via section access will not be available immediately.

The user can now see the application in the Supply Chain stream but they can’t read it because the task for the Security has not turned.

The task starts every day at 2 AM CET. Then, the user would be able to read the app the next day.
