The GBU Specialty Polymers decided to embed in one single platform all industrialization processes formerly managed  according to product line/site specific processes and various IT tools. The new platform is expected to include the following processes:

ARMS

Raw Material Specification Approval + DB

FORMULATIONS

Finished Goods Formulation Approval + DB

SPECIFICATIONS

Finished Goods Specification Approval + DB

BLOOM

Experimental Industrial Trials Management for Resins + Compounds

PXM

Experimental Materials DB

SDS REQUEST

Global GBU Request system for new SDSs

The key goal is to harmonize, improve and consolidate the three processes through the IT enabler relying on a unified User Management System. It is also requested to orchestrate the above processes altogether and properly transfer data across each other.

The Platform is required to be Export Control compliant for EAR/Dual Use regulations as it contains relevant information about product composition.

SpP team is looking at this Digital transformation as an opportunity to align & optimize the way of working across the GBU. At the same time this is an opportunity to improve data sharing in a secure & seamless way across the relevant GBU IT systems (SAP, SFDC, etc.).
