1 - Objective and Scope

Objective of this operation

The purpose of this task is to ensure that all items in ARA realted to IFRS 16 accounts are properly reconclied for audit purposes. This should be done according to the deadline shared by General Ledger team, but normally it's until D-5.

Scope

This procedure is applied to all WW companies under IFRS 16.

2 - Task description

ARA item reconcilition

To Reconcile ARA, access transaction /BSAR/MENU and select "My Accounts".




In the next step you should select the following variant IFRS 16, in order to have all items for IFRS 16 accounts.

Another window will open with all the entities (column "Area" 1 – Country code precedes the BFC code) that need to be Reconciled in ARA.

The red circle in column "Rating" it means that ARA still needs to be performed.



By clicking on the in each line on column "Execution" you will open the reconciliation tab.



Insert in the "Comments" tab the comment: Please find attached the Rollforward of the RoU debt and lease liabilities.



Then in the "Attachments" tab, click on "Assign" and then on "Store business Document".



Choose the 3S - XLS DOCUMENT (PF1) or ACCOUNTING DOCUMENT XLS (WP1) and attach the Rollforward Excel for the specific company code, putting in the description the same name of the file chosen.

The file will appear attached in the first line.



In the upper part, reconcile the balance by copying the amounts from the column "Unreconciled balance" to column "Reconciliation balance", without copying the first yellow line which is the total.

Also note that in the column "Rating" the accounts not balanced present a red circle.



Once the values have been copied the "Unreconciled balance" column will be zero and the rating column will appear all green.



In the tab "Status & Assessment" (which became green), click on "Certify"



Now the document has been sent to the Reviewer and the accounts have been reconciled.
