How to submit a standard ELN Access Request


  • 1. Simply click on "Application Access Request (Generic)" in the Home page:
    You can also find this request in the catalog tab or in the searching bar.

  • 2. You can select to request the access for someone else by clicking on Edit in the "Request for" section.
    In this case both the user and the requestor will get the ticket updates.

  • 3. Verify the user information & click on next.



         

Then fill in the ticket :

  • 2. At his stage, you can change the field "Request for" at the top left.

  • 3. Summary
    Indicate the title of your ticket.

Nice to have : "ELN // XXX" with XXX being the topic of your ticket.

  • 4. Description 

Please note that to increase the answer time and relevance, your ticket should provide, if relevant:

-a precise description of your issue, including links to the concerned resources 

-one or several screen shots in step 7.

-step-by-step to reproduce the issue

  • 5. Select "ELN (IDBS)" as Affected Application*

  • 6. Select an Urgency
    Select the right one depending on your ticket.


  • 7. Import attachments if needed (Screenshot of the ELN experiment you have an issue with for example)


  • 8. Submit request

Examples of ticket Description

1. Global access management: create new account, share a specific folder, etc.

A special Service Request will soon be implemented in Service One for any ELN access granting/withdrawal request.

Before it is implemented, you can simply submit a Gform by referring to the ELN Access Management Wiki Page.

2. Archive or move item (project, trainee's folder, experiments...)

3. Create a new "high level entity" item (Cluster, PROJECTS_CLUSTER, Projects...) within the hierarchy

Indicate which type of item you would like to create + where do you want to create it within the hierarchy.

Add your Lab Manager and ELN Coodinator to validate this creation in the Hierarchy.


In case you do not know the exact name of the high level entity, you can indicate the link to a similar entity in the ticket.
