- Mining solutions is a market of Technology Solutions GBU activities accounting for ~60 % of its sales. It encompasses several applications, among which Mineral Processing and Metal Extraction Products.
- The Metal Extractant Products activity is based on a range of specialty reagents used in solvent extraction circuits, extractants and other process aids. The business accounts for around 85 M€ sales activity and is entering in a commoditization dynamic, thus threatening margins and business in the long run.

Digital Mining Solutions
MINCHEM®
is the modeling tool used as a stand alone to support all Solvent Extraction operations. It was replatformed on GCP to allow sustainable business operations.
SolvExtract™
enables data flows between a mining operation and Solvay’s proprietary solvent extraction modeling software, MINCHEM®. Through the software, Solvay continuously monitors key variables, such as copper recovery and pH, comparing actual values and trends to those predicted by the model, to identify deviations from normal operating conditions and offers timely recommendations- Today, SolvExtract has 13 active customer plant sites.

Smartfloat™
is a first-of-its-kind digital system built on Solvay’s proprietary Flotation Matrix 100™ approach, that uses live flotation data to recommend the best suitable reagent formulation and dosage in real time, based on incoming ore properties and operational parameters.- Stage: PoC to MVP
