Description of the initiative
Review, modernize and standardize the manufacturing execution systems (MES) of the GBU to ensure a smooth implementation of the GBU Digital Roadmap (a.o. Star Tek).
These upgrades are absolutely needed for all the PI Historians, in order to support the migration from PI Process book (decommissioning is end of 2023) to PI vision. For IP21 in Panoli, it is also needed because as long as cloud connection to Star TEK will be a difficulty for this site, there must be a very good local historian IP21 to allow development of advanced features.

2.0 Scope / Deliverables

MES upgrade is a prerequisite to implement Star Tek according with SpP roadmap - After an initial survey, we found the existing infrastructure not to be ready for the migration - In agreement with SpP, we identified infra investment to be performed in 2023 and postponed to 2024 budget most of the upgrade activities
