Digital AwarenessThis standard aims at building awareness of digital tools and solutions available within Solvay to address many challenges existing in solvay plants. The content allows its user to: - Introduce digital tools applicable for Solvay
- Identify and align everybody on key areas for development
- Inspire site’s team to generate list of improvements based on tools/applications
More specifically, digital in plants allow to better serve customer while empowering our workforce and providing Solvay with a competitive advantage by acting on 5 specific levers: - Asset Performance Management - Enhance performance (e.g., yield, energy consumption) through process control excellence (PCE) and advanced analytics (AA) (details here, use cases here)
- Plant asset Network Optimization - Maximize in-site asset profitability by applying dynamic optimization algorithms for production and planning scheduling (details here, use cases here)
- Asset Reliability / Maintenance - Prevent / predict equipment failure and optimize maintenance strategy by capturing more equipment data and applying data analytics
- Digital Ways of Working - Empower our employees on the shopfloor by implementing human-machine interface technology to streamline key processes (details here, use cases here)
- Robotics and Cobotics - Optimize plant fixed costs through robotization of key processes (cobotics involves technology assisting employees in their work) (details and use here)
The digital transformation roadmap follows a 5 phases process (see below, more details here)
Digital transformation project governance is organized along 5 different bodies (more details here): 1. Steering Committee (incl. Project sponsor, site project manager, plant manager, digital change agent) GBU team responsible for the whole project: 2. Project director 3. Site project manager Corporate team supporting execution within the frame of objectives agreed upon with GBU: 4. Corporate project manager 5. Project team |
