BOMs

The BOM (Bill of Materials) is used to indicate the components of a manufactured product.  Site planners are recommended to understand how it is created and modified.  In some organizations, the creation of BOM is under responsibility of the production team.

Rate routings

In most PF1 plants, rate routings are used to manage capacity utilization and calculate production costs.

The rate routing allows for declaring production via a cost collector with repetitive manufacturing.

The rate routing contains the following minimum information:

  1. The resource where the product is produced. This represents the production line and should accurately reflect the reality.
  2. The production rate: This indicates how fast the production line is operating for that specific material

Production version

The production version is the information used by controlling to calculate production costs and also used by the site planner to manage the scheduling. It is a combination of the BOM and the rate routings.

There can be multiple production versions for a single mateiral:
