A personal contribution is paid, on a monthly basis, by the employee and is calculated on a legal base (Benefit in kind + net personal contribution, if applicable). | Bicycle and other alternatives | Solvay contribution of 50€/month in the leasing, if at least 20% (on average) home-work travel by bike. Bycicle Kilometre allowance for employees without company car: The bicycle allowance is fixed at 0,24 € (exonerated on the fiscal and social plan) per kilometre travelled to the place of work (sworn statement). The allowance is paid once a year in December. |
| Public transport allowance | (SNCB, TEC, De Lijn, Stib) In case of no company car, the subscription for public transport will be fully covered by Solvay (under conditions). The principle provides for public transport between the domicile and the place of work to be free. Remark: please note that is it not possible to benefit at the same time from the public transport benefit and the private vehicle benefit. |
| Personal car allowance | Employees not using public transport for home-work travels will be reimbursed for travel expenses up to 70% of the cost for a monthly SNCB subscription (reference: SNCB - Table 2: private transport - monthly train card), with a minimum intervention of 10 km per ride. Mileage allowance : Your professional travels are entirely reimbursed via the Travel & Expenses section. If you use your personal vehicle, you receive 0,3707 €/km (on 1st July 2021). Indeed, when a company provides a mobile phone for professional use, the Administration considers that there is, theoretically, a private use. That advantage is at a fixed rate of 12,5€/month, which corresponds to an approximate 7€ tax. By default a benefit in kind is included on the payslip.
