Moving internationally is fundamental for business expansion! It offers the opportunity to go global and become more competitive.
It also gives the employee a career boost, as it helps developing an international mindset.
An assignment abroad is a SCo decision led by a business and talent strategy.
Once an international move is confirmed, a true journey begins with its own challenges: SCo is there to support you during the entire process and to provide the appropriate standard of services to all assignees among the Group.
The Global Mobility Team, within SBS, will support this journey, throughout the different stages, managing providers and services, ensuring a smooth process and journey.
Please check below our Global Mobility presentation, with specific information about the team and the services we provide.

THE PROCESS FOR WHEN YOU NEED AN INTERNATIONAL MOVE
The current process to follow is:
For initiating the process of a new Expatriation (LTA, STA or SIPA or Permanent Transfer), you should contact thecontact centeror Global Mobility team directly (globalmobility@solvay.com).
For LTA's and STAs (above 6 months), Manager with support of the Strategic Business Partner (SBP) must submit abusiness case(not applicable for Permanent Transfers).
Once the business case is approved, an Initiation Form is sent to theGlobal Mobility team.
Managers are responsibleto fill in and submit the Initiation Form, calledMove Initiation Form (MIF), with support ofSBP or delegates (HR).
Once the Global Mobility team receives the MIF, they will start the full process, contacting all relevant and involved stakeholders.
As soon as Global Mobility Team or Immigration provider gives the green light to set up the country transfer date, please do not forget to submit the Internal Move / Employee status change - IT Request. Submitting this request should not happen before immigration is concluded.
All movements should start with a MIF submission (New Assignments and Permanent Transfers, but also Repatriation, Localization, End of Assignment, etc.)
