PROD_COM

Raw Material PROD_COM contains information on:

  • Specification Header - shows authorization group for shared raw materials - ZZ_BU_00 -  substance nature (substance, mixture, or article), administration data (last date of update etc.). For SYENSQO only raw materials should be ZZ_RM_SCO.
  • Restrictions - Raw Material PROD_COMs are public objects that by default are classified as 9&NR 'Not Yet Classified for EHS Raw Materials'; please note that some raw materials for Composite Materials are considered confidential and might be classified differently which leads to empty information in SAP EHS WP1 (information populated in BOMBOS system SAP EHS WPX).
  • Identifiers - PROD_COM name that describes chemistry type or supplier's trade name (if behind this PROD_COM is a unique purchased raw material that is a complex mixture).
  • Material Assignments - shows material codes linked to logistic PROD_COM (PRCO* type) if raw material is purchased via material code in WP1.
  • Relationships - might contain some inherited information from REAL_SUB_E or DG_CL_SUB.

Raw Material PROD_COM information is stored using the property tree Z_PC_PS, “PROD_COM view for Product Steward”. Within this property tree you can find information under different classes:

  • Composition - normally only Standard Composition should be maintained that describes 'worst case' composition based on all REAL_SUB_Es linked to this PROD_COM via Supplier Listing. This worst case composition should be maintained by running the rule ZCP_RM_WRS every time a new REAL_SUB_E is linked to the PROD_COM via Supplier Listing.
  • SVT - if necessary for SVT reporting, then rules are applied to maintain different country SVT information.
  • Supplier Listing - shows list of supplier specific records REAL_SUB_Es that are linked to this PROD_COM.
  • Plant Assignments - automatic class that shows manufacturing plant & supplier information from all REAL_SUB_Es linked to this PROD_COM.
  • State of Matter - shows if raw material is solid, gaseous or liquid. Relevant for Industrial Hygiene (IH) team to follow the chemical assessment in Socrates.
  • Notification Status - describes 'worst case' notification status for raw material based on all REAL_SUB_Es linked to this PROD_COM via Supplier Listing.
  • GHS Classification - populated by UN GHS rule if raw material PROD_COM is used for IH assessment in Socrates.
  • Contains S-SVHC & SRA - populated by SVHC rule, Z_SVHC_PRO.
  • Commerce Control Classification - populated based on request from Product Stewardship.

REAL_SUB_E

Raw Material REAL_SUB_E (RSE) contains information on:

  • Specification Header - shows authorization group for shared raw materials - ZZ_BU_00 -  substance nature (substance, mixture, or article), administration data (last date of update etc.). For SYENSQO only raw materials should be ZZ_RM_SCO.
  • Identifiers - multiple identifiers are assigned that show supplier's raw material name (from Safety Data Sheet), specify grade purchased that describes chemistry type or display supplier's trade name (if behind this PROD_COM is a unique purchased raw material that is a complex mixture).
  • Relationships - REAL_SUB_E can be passing information to a PROD_COM via inheritance link.

REAL_SUB_E information is stored using property tree 'Raw Material Property Tree'. Within this property tree you can find information under different classes:

  • Raw Material Data Attributes contain information on:
    • Plant code, name and group name.
    • Plant Production Line or Department if needed to specify.
    • Management of Change number (for reference if plant/GBU is following raw material approval process).
    • (e)SDS relevant - flag to show when (e)SDS is mandatory (by default is populated as “SDS mandatory”).
    • Raw Material Category - to show purpose of raw material at the site.
    • Product Supplier’s reference - supplier reference for the raw material maintained in the RSE. When it exists, it can be found in section 1 of supplier’s SDS.
    • WP1 / PF1 Material Number - if raw material is purchased via SAP with material code either through SAP EHS WP1 or PF1.
    • Intracompany - If a site is receiving the material from another company site, this is where that information should be stored. By default is populated with “No”.
    • Status - Active, Inactive or Dormant (if approved for purchase but is not an active source).
  • Supplier Information - shows Supplier Code & Name (if purchased via SAP material number), Producer (if manufacturer is different than supplier), Supplier Group Name (generic supplier name), and Usage that is put as PUBLIC: REG_WORLD by default.

  • SDS information - to maintain SDS Diffusion & send SDSs to Raw Material Sinequa.
  • REACH Raw Mat. - to record REACH Compliance information for all EU or UK purchased raw materials for production.
  • Conflict Minerals - to record compliance against Conflict Minerals regulation.
  • Notification Status - to record supplier's specific information country chemical notification status.
  • Contains S-SVHC & SRA - populated by the rule to check if raw material contains S-SVHC or SRA substances - Z_SVHC_PRO.
  • Material Origin - populated if required by GBU.
  • Additional Regulations - different regulatory status phrases can be populated if required by GBU.
  • Composition - Standard and Legal Compositions are maintained based on supplier's information from SDS or other related documents. Hazardous Ingredients is maintained by the composition dematerialized in 3E verisk and uploaded with VSDS loader (3E Optimize).
  • EU SVT - if necessary for SVT reporting, then rules are applied to maintain different country SVT information.
  • GB SVT - if necessary for SVT reporting, then rules are applied to maintain different country SVT information.
  • Physical-Chemical Properties - maintained by the information dematerialized from supplier SDS in 3E verisk and uploaded with VSDS loader (3E Optimize). State of matter will be passed on to linked PROD_COM with a rule.
  • Classification - maintained by the information dematerialized from supplier SDS in 3E verisk and uploaded with VSDS loader (3E Optimize).
  • Labeling - maintained by the information dematerialized from supplier SDS in 3E verisk and uploaded with VSDS loader (3E Optimize).
