• The various dedicated “hazardous ingredients” or “hazardous composition” rules populate in the class Hazardous ingredients the components that must be reported according to the local regulations
  • It creates 1 instance per country (or group of countries)
• The rule only populates the hazardous ingredients. Nonhazardous ingredients may be manually added by the SDS writer in a separate instance of the class Hazardous ingredients (WARNING: should not be created with a world usage because the management is different for NA). The Remarks “Non Hazardous ingredients” may be added. WARNING: you must maintain the instance containing the remark with the sort sequence = 1 or the remark does not appear properly.
• The rules write back the exact % of the ingredient from the standard composition and additionally a range, based on the following table. If one of the ingredients has a specific concentration limit, then the HazardComp rule outputs this concentration and not the range.
  

• Only the range is displayed on the SDS. If the SDS writer wants to display an exact %, this must be done in the class Display exact value.
  • No need to modify the result of the rule in the class Hazardous ingredients, the exact % maintained in this dedicated class will take over
  • You must indicate a usage. This cannot be used for Japan as display of concentration in this country must obey regulatory requirements that are taken into account by the dedicated rule

• 3 choices for the type of substance: substance, mixture or Pure substance. With the latter:
  • The classification of the substance will not appear in section 3
  • The data of this Pure Sub will automatically appear in the section 11 and 12, without repeating its name
  • In the countries where reporting of ingredients that not classified according to GHS but have OEL values is voluntary, the rules output such ingredients in a separate instance with the Remarks “Other substances with occupational exposure limits”

New Zealand: The SDS template automatically displays a line with the info "Non-hazardous ingredients... Balance" at the end of the hazardous ingredients table, unless the phrase "Balance not displayed (AU/NZ)” is filled in the Remarks characteristic of the NZ instance. NZ - A dedicated instance for Ototoxic ingredient can be maintained if applicable

New Zealand:

• The “hazardous composition” rule populates a result Z_NA valid for US and Canada in the class Hazardous ingredients
• The rule only populates the hazardous ingredients. Nonhazardous ingredients may be manually added by the SDS writer in the dedicated class Non Hazardous ingredients
• The GHS classification of ingredients are not displayed
• No product identifiers displayed in section 3
