Principle

Absorbable Organic Fluorine – Combustion Ion Chromatography (AOF-CIC) measures organofluoride compounds from per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and non-PFAS fluorinated compounds in aqueous matrices.  An aliquot of sample is passed through granular activated carbon columns. The columns are combusted at 1000 °C and the
gaseous hydrogen fluoride absorbed into reagent water. The fluoride is analyzed by Ion Chromatography (IC). The result is reported as the concentration of fluoride (F - ) in the sample.

Capabilities

  • Quantitative determination of Absorbable Organic Fluorine in aqueous matrices.
