A list of chemicals considered to be highly hazardous to human health or the environment has been published. The list may be used by introducers as a screening tool to categorise their introductions as 'exempted', 'reported' or 'assessed'.
Transitional provisions are in place : as examples, the current certificates will remain valid either the time left on the original permit, or until 30 June 2022, whichever is the later date, and you can keep introducing chemicals under NICNAS exemptions until 31 August 2022.
