Static Data Import : DFU

DFU : Material:Ship-To@DC 

• DFU (Demand Forecasting Unit) is the smallest Demand Management Unit which is Material x Shipto x Distribution Channel combination
• DFU are automatically created in Dynasys based on :
• Standard sales order (of past 3 years) from WP2 and PF2
• All M3 reference sales order from PF2

Comments : If an order/M3 is registered for a new triplet : Material, Ship-To, Distribution Channel, the new DFU will be available at D+2 in DynaSys

• DFU can be created manually for specific cases. To do so, it is mandatory to have the Material and the Ship-To available in DynaSys.
• For prospects, Sales Force CRM is interfaced with DynaSys (Opportunity)

• In APO, the DFU is the Material x Ship-To x Site (Shipping Site)

In DynaSys : the Main Shipping Site is an attribute of the Material x Ship-To

The Main production plant is also available. 

• These data can either be updated in DynaSys directly or based on Actuals (history)

The Main Shipping Site is used for the Independent Requirement loading in SAP

• The code and the description are imported. For some of them, we proposed a short description in order to be more readable in the tool. 

Ship-To Short Name includes the City and the Country.
The code are suffixed by “R” for WP2 Material/Ship-To, “S” for PF2 Material/Ship-To.

• All master data are then linked to the Material:Ship-To@DC (Link 1-1)

Distribution Channel (WP2)

• In DynaSys, 

For Novecare, as some Distribution Channel are multi-BUs (ex: 6X - Multi DC), the BU notion will be equivalent to the GBU

Distribution Channel is also used to determine the IECRA in addition to the Division (Material info) (Division x Distribution Channel)

Material Attributes (Product Axis)

• Additional data linked to Material / Material@BU are available (interfaced based on SAP data/GBR)

Note: the Material Group of PF2 & the Commercial Product of WP2 come from the Material Master (MM03) > Basic Data.

Ship-To Attributes

• Additional data linked to Ship-To / Ship-to@BU are available (interfaced based on SAP data/GBR)

Ship-To - Sales Rep./Account Manager

• These information are used to manage DFU access control (Authorization)

• The information are managed at the Ship-To@Distribution Channel Level
