If you lose access to a Drive folder or file; and are presented with a Can't access item screen (like pic further below); you are likely trying to follow a link to a no longer available Solvay item. Get a direct link to the Syensqo copy quickly, by using the Google Drive - Redirection Tool
For Google Site's access issues; please see the wiki: Google Sites Separation
---
Most My Drive and Google Shared Drive files owned by Syensqo users will be moved on March 26th without changes (ie. links, bookmarks, Drive attachments will all function normally.) Essentially, you won't even notice they have been moved; they'll just work like they always have.
However the following two notable exceptions apply:
Starting March 10 and onward we will end any remaining Syensqo user access to Solvay owned Google Drive content. There are some exceptions for a select group of users authorized to continue collaboration; for more details see: TSA User access.
In their place, users have been provided Syensqo-only copies. In general, we have made an attempt to communicate to users when items they access are affected; but due to the nature of Google Drive, this is not possible in all cases.
Additionally, an unfortunate impact of working with new Syensqo-only copies, is that all existing links/references to these items will no longer work (as they point to the Solvay owned originals); this includes Drive item bookmarks and links; as well as Google Sheet lookups to other sheet, etc.
If you find that a Google Drive item you previously accessed, is now blocked, presenting the screen below; this is most likely the cause.

In most cases, a Syensqo-only copy of these Drive items has been made and is available to you. You can find these copies by:
![]()
If you are presented with a You Need Access form (as seen below); for a Drive item you previously could reach, it is likely that as part of the cutover preparation; some sort of company wide sharing setting was removed (see example, Anyone in Syensqo further below). You can use the form to reestablish access

As part of the cutover preparation, on March 24, any item set to share with “Anyone in Syensqo", will be reset to Restricted sharing; meaning only users/groups specifically listed in its share list will retain access. If you are the drive/folder or file owner, you can set sharing back to Anyone in Syensqo after the cutover is complete later that day.
