Source of data

  • In Bi4, data are only available for PAX/Pepol GBUs.
  • In BW (WCAP, TIERS, OBAS,), data are only available for SAP companies.
  • In BFC, data are available for all the consolidated companies, including the non SAP companies.
Update
Daily reload of the current and previous year, the dashboard will update as soon as extraction job from SAP is finished (variable time). Users can see at all time from which day the data was taken from BW thanks to the date indicated in the top left corner of the dashboard. Every morning, Tableau is updated to show the data from BW from the previous day at 8pm UTC. Exception: on Monday the dashboard will be refreshed with the data of Saturday 8pm UTC.
Note: Be aware that BW refresh happens after 8pm UTC. It means that on D-day on Tableau, you will see the data from BW from D-1 at 8pm UTC, which shows the actual data as of D-2.
Period
All KPI : Current year + year -1,
Forecast Accuracy : Current year + Year -1 and Year -2.
Note that you will not be able to find current month in the filters in the FA page as the FA figures for current month are only available the following month.
Archives
note: every year on Dec 31st, an archive is created and displayed in the access point. Data in this archive is frozen so new evolutions and corrections won't be available in this application.

Units
  • Weight: Net Weight = weight of active materials sold
  • Gross Weight = weight of all materials (active or not) and the packaging
  • Currency: EUR / USD
  • Conversion rules:
    • Transportation Costs (Query TIERS): conversion from a local currency to EUR or USD is based on the exchange rate managed by Finance. For each cost, the rate considered is the one of its reference month. The reference month of a transportation cost is :
      • the actual completion month
      • the planned completion month if the actual completion month is not available
      • the shipment creation date if the planned completion month is also not available
    • Inventory Values in Finance (BFC) : conversion from a local currency to EUR is based on the exchange rate managed by Finance. For each inventory value, the rate considered is the one of the inventory month.
For USD, we don’t have all the exchange rates because it's not the official currency at Solvay (EUR).
So for the following countries: Argentina, Bulgaria, Egypt, Mexico, New Zealand and Switzerland, when selecting USD, the unit will not be USD but the local currency.
