To control periods during monthly closure for WPX companies.
For PF2 companies this task is performed by the DT team. For WP2 companies, while it is responsibility of the SUMAC, it is an automatic job on FCC.

For WPX companies, this has to be done manually as the access to the system is limited to select users.

Day D-1: MMPV transaction

WP2:

On WP2, open transaction MMPV.

This transaction is always run for next period.

For example, for October/25 close we will run it for period 11/2025.

Do not execute right away. Go under program and click execute on background.

If using the automated job manager please make sure the the time of the job is correct.

Set it for the first day of the next month, running at midnight.

WPX:

Open transaction MMPV.

Same steps as in WP1, just check additional boxes that allow negative quantities and values in prev. period.

Do not execute right away. Go under program and click execute on background.

Set it for the first day of the next month, running at midnight.

Open transaction SM37 to check if MMPV was scheduled correctly. This is extremely important as a mistake with MMPV can have impact in production.

Day D-1: OB52 transaction (WPX only)

On WPX, open transaction OB52.

Posting Period Variant is the company code.

Save before exiting.

WPX is unlike WP2 for OB52, there is no automatic central job that opens all companies.

Day D+1: MMPV transaction

Before Proceeding to the WPX and WP2 reconciliation the following steps have to be performed:

  1.  Calculation of Process Orders Variances
    Run KKS1 both in WP2 and WPX simultaneously;
  2. Process Order Settlement
    Run CO88 both in WP2 and WPX simultaneously;
  3. Transfer Process Order Variances to WP2
    Run ZWFA03A in WPX to transfer order variances to WP2.

Once Process Order settlement posted and D05/E05/F05 tie out in both systems on KE30 we need to close the MM period using MMRV.

On MMRV uncheck the following box on both systems.
