1. Objective and Scope

1.1. Objective of this Operation

WHY - Describe the objective of the operation

The purpose of this internal control is to check the consistency of the data of SAP and Tagetik.
All data in SAP must the same as in Tagetik.

1.2. Scope

Detail the scope (legal entities, etc.)

All companies WW with consolidation method Fully Consolidated and Proportionally Consolidated.

2. Definitions

Definitions should be added in the Finance Glossary - Add definition and link it to respective Letter in Finance Glossary

See Finance Glossary:

  • ...

3. SAP vs Tagetik Internal Control

WHAT and HOW - Main content of the operation

The content should be mainly organized in 2 levels of Headings to ensure a proper link with the Table of Contents.

Select the level of heading in the "Paragraph" option.

Download the file attached SAP vs Tagetik MM.YYYY and follow the steps in "Read Me".

The internal control should be done per system, so in total, you'll have three files one for each system PF2, WP2 and PI2.

Update the name of the file with the system and MM.YYYY - Example PF2 SAP vs Tagetik 03.2026

The internal control should be performed at least twice a day in D+3.

The deadline to upload the companies to BFC is 12PM local time so the task should be performed in D+3 morning to ensure all the late postings from EMEA/APAC and in the afternoon to ensure all the late postings from LAM/NAM.

3.1. Transfer

In the sheet Transfer, we need to insert the data from SAP.

Run the interface transactions in PF2/WP2/PI2 with the variant SCO_TAG_ALL

ZZF_BFC_COLLECTIVE - BFC/BOIC - Update collecting tables
ZZF_BFC_CONVERSION - BFC Tool  - Handle rounded amounts
ZZF_BFC_TRANSFER - BFC/BOIC - File Transfer - The variant saves the file in a SAP destination folder. To perform the internal control, save the file in your desktop.

Open the file saved in your desktop (.CSV format) and paste it to the sheet Transfer.

3.2. Tagetik

In the sheet Tagetik, we need to insert the data from Tagetik.

Open Tagetik and open the period we're closing.

Go to Detail Summary, select any company and click on Form

Select TM_CTRL_00 - Internal control

Save the file in your desktop and paste it to the sheet Tagetik

3.3. Calculation

Copy the data from sheet Tagetik and paste special value in sheet Calculation in the part in yellow
Make sure that the formulas all the way down from G to Q (these columns retrieve the data from sheet Transfer and sheet Tagetik).

3.4. SAP vs Tagetik

Refresh Pivot tables
Column E select SCO
Final check all amounts must be 0
Here we are comparing the values from SAP with Tagetik, so if there's amount in the final check column it means that there are postings in SAP that were not uploaded to Tagetik.
The companies with amounts need to be uploaded to Tagetik and the previous steps need to be done again.

In WP2 it's normal to have a difference related to FCC D+2 Task - Division by 1000 of company 7788

3.5. Tagetik vs SAP

Refresh Pivot tables
Column B select the system we're doing the internal control (PF2, PI2 and WP2)
Column F select SCO
Final check all entries should be Data in SAP
Here we are comparing the values from Tagetik with SAP, so if in the final check is "No Data in SAP" it means that something was cleared in SAP after the upload to Tagetik
The companies with "No data in SAP" need to be uploaded to Tagetik and the previous steps needs to be done again.

In WP2 it's normal to have a difference related to FCC D+2 Task - Upload of A26000 UK Companies - Interface issue

3.5. Companies

Whenever there are changes related to companies that are fully or proportionally consolidated the companies list needs to be updated.

4. Publish Internal Controls

Once internal control is finished and all data from SAP is in Tagetik, save the files in our drive and AODOCS question.

End of document.
