Tasks to be completed when documenting an operation (from creation to publication)

 1. Enter the Title of the operation / page

2. Add the following Labels

    • Scope of applicability: ww, country_accounting 

    • Country or group of countries (if applicable): belux, china, france, italy, lam, nam, uk_ie, bulgaria, dach, netherlands, iberia, poland, latvia, australia, india, japan, south_korea, thailand, singapore, new_zealand, emea_transversal, apac_transversal

    • Unit and Domain according to the List of labels to be used in the Finance Service Line space

      • E.g. 1: WW Operation in Financial Accounting under domain "Central Finance Processes & Compliance":
        • Labels to be used: ww, financial_accounting, central_fin_proc_compliance

      • E.g. 2: France Operation in Financial Accounting:
        • Labels to be used: country_accounting, france, financial_accounting
          (for country operations, the Domain is always country_accounting)


3. Fill in all fields as described above

4. Name the title of each section using OPD methodology naming convention - Infinitive verb without the “to”, mainly action verb...something) - " I do something..."

5. Once the description of the operation is completed, ensure it is approved and published by launching the SBS-Finance approval workflow 


Domain: 1. Enter the Domain identified in OPD matrix (for Country specific operations, Domain = Country Accounting)

Responsibility area: 2. Enter the responsibility area described in OPD matrix ("N/A" for Country Accounting Operations)

Table of contents 

By default the table of contents displays Heading 1 & Heading 2 (other levels can be added)

This task should be performed monthly on D+3 twice after SAP vs Tagetik internal control.

1. Objective and Scope

1.1. Objective of this Operation

WHY - Describe the objective of the operation

The purpose of this internal control is to check the consistency of the data of Tagetik and BFC.
All data in Tagetik must the same as in BFC.

1.2. Scope

Detail the scope (legal entities, etc.)

All companies WW with consolidation method Fully Consolidated and Proportionally Consolidated.

3. Tagetik vs BFC Internal Control

WHAT and HOW - Main content of the operation

The content should be mainly organized in 2 levels of Headings to ensure a proper link with the Table of Contents.

Select the level of heading in the "Paragraph" option.

Download the file attached Tagetik vs SAP MM.YYYY and follow the steps in "Read Me".

Save the file with MM.YYYY updated with the month we're closing - Example Tagetik vs SAP 03.2026

The internal control should be performed after the SAP vs Tagetik Internal Control in D+3.

 

3.1. BFC Data

Each month in closure, we receive the following email:

  • Emails sent of D+3D+4 and D+5 of every month 
  • Emails sent on an hourly basis on D+3 and D+4 and on each 4 hours at D+5;

After receiving the email from BFC save the file in your computer.

This is a text document so we need to format it to open in Excel
Open excel and open the txt document


In the first menu, use Delimited option , Semicolon and Text


Copy the data and paste it to BFC DATA sheet

3.2. Tagetik Data

Open Tagetik and the select the month we're closing in processes
Select detail summary tab, select one company and choose Forms


Open the form TM_TO_BFC


Select Filters panel and SAP and Non SAP node and refresh


Go to Utility tab and extract the file to excel and copy the file to Tagetik Data sheet

3.3. Calculation

This sheet will format the data of the sheets BFC data and Tagetik data, please ensure that the formulas are applied to all lines.

3.4. In Tagetik Not BFC

This sheet will let us know the data that we have in Tagetik but not in BFC. In case there is amount higher than 1000 EUR we need to upload the company to BFC.
The differences may occur when we upload the companies in D2 but there were corrections in SAP and Tagetik after and the company was not reuploaded to BFC.

Deselect the amount 0 in column F and H

It's normal to have the differences with the oxygen companies since the data of this companies is normally only uploaded to BFC on a quarter basis. Any other difference not related to Oxygen Companies it either needs to be justified or the company reuploaded to BFC.

3.5. In BFC Not In Tagetik

This sheet will let us know the data that we have in BFC but not in Tagetik. In case there is amount higher than 1000 EUR we need to upload the company to BFC.

Once internal control is finished and all data from Tagetik is in BFC , save the file in our drive.
