CO₂ Emissions

This KPI is for supporting GBU to visualize their CO2 impact. The calculation taken is from the CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Council). The distances used are provided by EcoTransit directly in SAP. An important attention must be taken, because some the ship to destination in SAP could be written differently from the standard, in these cases EcoTransit cannot find the real distance.

Solvay's carbon price

Since January 1^st, 2016, Solvay applies an internal price for CO₂ emissions at 25 €/TO CO₂ to take into account climate challenges in its investment decisions.

Formula for CO₂ calculation:
