Request for access to gitlab

If there is no existing gitlab group to associate the user with: 

  1. user needs to access the gitlab instance and register a user account on gitlab by logging in with SSO. An account will automatically be created and pending approval by gitlab admin.
  2. user needs to create a gitlab group for the user account to be associated with by sending an email request to gitlab admin, providing the gitlab group's name and the owner's user account.

If there is already an existing gitlab group for the user to be associated with:

  1. user needs to access the gitlab instance and register a user account on gitlab by logging in with SSO. An account will automatically be created and pending approval by gitlab admin.
  2. user then needs to contact the existing gitlab group's owner to add the user account into the gitlab group.
