Principle

ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) is a type of mass spectrometry that uses an inductively coupled plasma to ionize the sample. The process atomizes the sample and generates atomic and small polyatomic ions, which are then detected and measured. ICP-MS is widely recognized and used for its ability to detect metals and several non-metals in liquid samples at extremely low concentrations, ppb or fractions.
