The Solvay ONE Staging and the Live doesn't have the same language management approach.
Language management in Staging
In Staging, you can easily access any language version of a content, by changing the address or by using the top left button.
Example of language access in Staging
- English: https://staging.solvay.com/one/en/sustainable-development/contact.html
- French: https://staging.solvay.com/one/fr/sustainable-development/contact.html
>> allows to access the respective English and French versions of the content.
Language management in Live
If you try to apply the same logic in Live, it doesn't work.
Example of language access tentative in Live
- https://one.solvay.com/en/sustainable-development/contact.html
- https://one.solvay.com/fr/sustainable-development/contact.html
>> both of these link access the same version of the page. Solvay ONE automatically switches the language to the one selected in your Solvay ONE profile.
The goal of this automatic language switching is to let you share a content with any colleague without carrying about the preferred language of your contacts. Indeed, without regarding the link that you will share (en, fr, etc.), the page will be displayed in the preferred language of your contacts.
Access an alternative language content in Live
The only way to access an alternative language of a Live content is to change your language preference:
1. Access your profile
2. Change your preferred language
3. Use your browser back button to see your content translated
The best way to get IT support is to use the new
Service One Platform.
