Currency Management Model



Import

Data is imported from BW file DYS_BW_CURR for Y-3 to Y+3.

Note :

- for Composites (DP2)

  • last imported value is propagated through the end of the horizon (Y+10) and;
  • Y-4 values are kept.

- for MTP (Mid Term Planning) for Special Chem & Novecare 

  • last imported value is propagated through the end of the MTP horizon (Y+5)

Conversion Rate EUR → LCs

Conversion Rate is assigned from the CAR4 Currencies at <Any Level> level.

Then, this Conversion Rate is populated for all LCs available in DynaSys.

These data fields are used to updated the Unit of Measure Conversion in the hierarchy.

Conversion Rate EUR → Active L2

Each Conversion Rate EUR → LCs are summarized in Conversion Rate !EUR → !LC to update the Unit of Measure Conversion in the hierarchy and allow automatic conversion for all data fields.

Finally, the Conversion Rate !EUR → !LC (from structure) is fed by the hierarchy's conversion factor.


Process to Add New Currency

  • Add to BW
  • Add in Unit of measure conversion folder

  • Add manually to the LC master table
    • relaunch the import to ensure the CAR4 rates are imported correctly
  • Add new data field to the Currency Management | 1. Conversion Rate EUR → LCs

  • Update 2 rule bases
    • Currency Management:  Apply conversion
    • Currency Managment : Conversion rate EUR to LCs
