Introduction
For label printing different solutions exists, three are used on WP2:
- Bartender
- Loftware ( tool manage by IM team)
- GLM (tool manage by Industrial team)
Bartender
- Bar Tender is the Windows software for designing and printing labels, barcodes and RFID tags. Running stand-alone (manual processing) or integrated with SAP WP2 application (automatic processing).
- Bartender label printing is Interfaced with SAP-RCS with the use of output types. The ZBAR output is used to trigger the label printing from Delivery. The output Type is defined at the header of the delivery so when it processes, It will process for all Material in the Delivery. Once an output is Executed in the SAP-RCS, it creates a file for each label to be printed and sends it to your computer to a predefined folder, This File contains the data elements that are extracted from SAP RCS for that Delivery. A Predefined Label Template is then triggered to print with the data elements from the interface file.
- The Printing of Labels is defined for a "Ship-to" Customer and a Shipping Point. The required Table ZWOCT151 is to be maintained in SAP RCS.
- The Required Label is to be maid available in the user's Computer (Solvay Systems ) or at a certain server for Citrix and TPA users (Third party users)
- Condition records to be maintained using VV21 for delivery type , shipping point and also can be linked to the specific ship to if labels needed for a specific ship-to.
- The Label Data is Issued from a Delivery after it is Packed (Batch Split Item created ) and the Transfer order is confirmed.
- Labels Data is sent to the users Local Computer, thanks to the message category ZBAR in the Delivery Header.
- Labels can be printed using the VL71 transaction using processing mode 1 for initial printing or 2 for repeat printing.

Loftware - Non Regulatory Labels (NRL)
Currently for Composites GBU there is no functionality to print Non Regulatory Labels via Loftware.
A new interface is developed to standardize and harmonize the label reprint across all the sites. Labels will be printed manually by the users.
- Below are the Labels in scope for Logistics Execution:
- Address (shipping label)
- Production (product label with customer information at time of shipping)
- Customer specific
Transaction code ZWPP_LABELS is used to generate the labels.
When processing the outputs from ZWPP_LABELS (Reprint) transaction, the necessary data for label will be send as an EDI/IDOC to WebMethods. WebMethods will map this IDOC data to an XML file and sends to Loftware Server. The Loftware server uses the XML file, the label template stored in the server along with the printer drivers to print the labels directly at the site. This process will be transparent to the SAP user.
