PO2 - BW - Consolidation views

What is the consolidation view ?

In some BW reports:

it is possible to display the data with the legal view or the consolidation view.

  • Until D1, there is a single consolidation view : 1=SOLVAY
  • From D1, there will be 2 new consolidation views : 2 = ECO & 3 = SCO

Before D1

The user can choose the accounting view (0) or the consolidated view (1) in the prompt.

  • accounting view (0): 100 % of all companies in Solvay are displayed even if there are not or partially consolidated

  • consolidated view (1): Only consolidated or partially consolidated companies are displayed with the integration rate of the company and of the trading partner.

After D1

The user can choose 2 new consolidation views:

  • the ECO consolidated view (2

  • the SCO consolidated view (3)

How to fill the prompt with the new consolidation views ?

When you open a BW report, you need to fill the prompt

Before D1

When it is applicable, you must enter the consolidation view:

  • 0 - Accounting view
  • 1 - Solvay

After D1

There are 2 new consolidation views 2=ECO & 3=SCO

Specific case - Working Capital

Before D1, the report was by default filtered with the conso view = 1 - Solvay. It was not possible to change the conso view for the end-user.

After D1, the end user has to select the conso view however if he selects the conso view = 0 (accounting view), there will be no data in the report. The option conso view = 0 but doesn't give any result and if the user needs to have a non consolidated report, he needs to use a specific query.

How to combine the authorization scope with the consolidation view ?

The consolidation view must obviously be consistent with the authorization scope, otherwise it will lead to an error message.

User E has access to the authorization scope ECO. He can select the conso view:

  • 0 - Accounting view
  • 1 - Solvay (until spin-off)
  • 2 - ECO (from D1)

But there will be no data if he selects the conso view 3 - SCO

User S has access to the authorization scope ECO. He can select the conso view:

  • 0 - Accounting view
  • 1 - Solvay (until spin-off)
  • 3 - SCO (from D1)

But there will be no data if he selects the conso view 2 - ECO

User G has access to the scope ECO and SCO. He can select all conso views:

  • 0 - Accounting view
  • 1 - Solvay (until spin-off)
  • 2 - ECO (from D1)
  • 3 - SCO (from D1)

What is the difference between the Conso view Solvay and the Conso view ECO or SCO ?

The difference between the conso view Solvay (1) and the conso view ECO (2) or SCO (3) is the elimination of the intercos

Illustration

There are 3 companies 1, 2 and A belonging to Solvay until the spin-off with a consolidation rate = 100%.

After D1:

  • the company 1 and 2 belong to ECO
  • the company A belongs to SCO

The Company 1 (ECO) sells product to 3 companies:

  • Company 2 (ECO)
  • Company A (SCO)
  • an external company (not consolidated)

Conso view 1 - Solvay

User E is ECO, when he selects the conso view 1 - Solvay:

=> All sales to Solvay companies are eliminated (sales to company 2 & A)

Total external sales for company 1 when conso view = SOLVAY = 100 $ (sales to external company)

Conso view 2 - ECO

User E is ECO, when he selects the conso view 2 - ECO

=> Only sales to ECO companies are eliminated (sales to company 2). Sales to company A are external sales.

Total external sales for company 1 when conso view = ECO = 200 $ (sales to external company + sales to company A)
