How to install Cirrus | |

Go to https://www.cirrusinsight.com and click on “Install New for Gmail" | • According to your browser, accept the installation and install the app |
• Once installed, click on « Go to Gmail » | |
Logging into Production |

First step after having installed Cirrus is to log into the Production environment. The users who were already using Cirrus during UAT in the Sandbox need to log out and log back in with the Production Credentials. Please follow these steps:
If you just installed Cirrus and were not par of UAT, just click on Sign In To Salesforce. |
After clicking on Sign In To Salesforce, choose Sign in with SSO Sign in using the Production SSO URL: https://solvay-crm.my.salesforce.com |
Contact Creation | |

Cirrus can help the user to create Contacts directly from their Google Mail Account. In order to do so, just hover the Contact’s name and Cirrus will recognize it. To create a new Contact, just click the “Create Contact” button.

Cirrus will automatically fulfill the First Name, Last Name and the email address of the Contact. If it recognizes additional values in the signature, it will populate them. The user can then fulfill the rest of the information such as: -Account Name – Type at least 3 characters and click on the lookup -Language – Type at least 3 characters and click on the lookup -Phone numbers -Function & Titles -Address – Be sure to check that the Signature extraction is set to “Always Review Results” in Settings > Signature Extraction
Once all the appropriate information is populated you can create the Contact by clicking on “Save”.

The Contact is now saved and available in SFDC
| |
You can now edit the Contact directly in SFDC or by clickin on the “Edit” button on Cirrus.

Google Calendar Sync | |

Firstly, if it is the first time the user uses Cirrus, he/she will need to activate the Google Calendar Sync. In order to do so, the user needs to go on the Settings button > Calendar > Calendar Sync and click on “Enable Google Calendar Sync”

Cirrus can sync events from the Google Calendar to SFDC and from SFDC to the Google Calendar. As a general rule, only the events that are flagged with the “Red” color and which are not “Private” will be synced from Google Calendar to SFDC. | |
To sync an event from Google Calendar to SFDC, create an event in Google Calendar, give this event the “Red” color and save it. Make sure that the visibility is not set as Private. | |
The event will be saved on the Google Calendar and will display in red. It will sync with SFDC in the next sync cycle. | |
In the Cirrus Insight App, you can check when the last sync took place and when the next sync will happen. To go there click on the Settings button > Calendar > Calendar Sync •The sync cycle should be every 5 minutes. | |
Once the cycle is passed, the Event will appear in SFDC. | You can also create an event in SFDC, which will also be synced in your Google Calendar at the same time as the sync cycle happens. |
The event synced from SFDC to Google Calendar will appear in the “Red” color as well. |
Send Email to SFDC | |

Cirrus can send an email to SFDC and link it to a Contact. In order to do this, open the email of a Contact that is already existing in SFDC and click on the “Add to Salesforce” button. | |
This will open a window where you can click on “Quick Add”. | |
Once done the email will be saved under the Activity History related list of the Contact. | |
The email can be opened on the Contact’s related list | |

CalendarThe Calendar Setting lets the user enable the Google Calendar Sync. Once enabled it can provide the user with information on the last sync and the next sync. Contact SyncContact Sync can be enabled from this settings page. This feature allows the user to sync the Contacts from SFDC to his Google Account. | |
TasksUsers can enable Reminder Notifications from this Settings page. Once enabled, notifications related to Tasks will be synced and the notifications will be shown on Cirrus. | |
Signature ExtractionHere, the user can choose how signature extraction will work or completely disable it. Currently, mainly US signatures work well. Here's an example of a signature that is recognized by Cirrus: Cheryl Conner How do I update Signature Extraction from the Cirrus Insight Gear? | |
Gmail AccountsIf the user is working on multiple Gmail Accounts, this setting allows him/her to choose on which Accounts they want the Cirrus panel to be displayed. How can I choose which of my Gmail Accounts I want displaying the Cirrus Insight panel? | |
Account DashboardThe Account Dashboard is the place where the Admin will configure Cirrus and manage users and licenses. | |
Account Dashboard - AdminIn the Control Panel under Organization Preference, the Admin can enable or disable the different features of Cirrus and configure how the Calendar Sync behaves. Today, it is configured with the red color and to not sync the events flagged as « Private ».
