Can you please investigate: we used position instead of responsible in SRM7 to minimize maintenance of users in cost center. Why don't we use the HR position code in SRM7 ?
You are right in your statement about HR classification not being ready for SRM7 implementation.
I believe that this is planned to move to the HR position codes but I'm not certain of the planning. Murielle knows a lot more about this than me so hopefully she will be able to give some more details.

I presume that our HR classification of position was not ready when SRM7 was implemented, which led to a parallel coding system. Is that it?
Do you think that, in the medium term it would be possible to replace the 5xxx codes by the HR position codes, having a single database? Or would there be some technical constraint for that?

para Diane, mim Hello Joao, Hello Diane,
HR structure is different from SRM structure, there is no link between them. The SRM position code is provided by SRM tool when creating the position in the SRM structure. It can not be replaced by any other ID in SRM..
Not sure there is a plan to move to HR position codes (or perhaps I'm not aware !). The project we currently have is to get changes from HR (HR system sends SRM system a file with the moves) We analyse it for the SRM users, Distribute this between all people in charge of the structure maintenance, send them a file. So they become aware of the changes that happened in their scope and they can ask for an update of the structure. The expectation is to have more up-to-date structures.

So, in short term, we will keep the current SRM-7 position code structure, without migrating to HR codes.

Position code = HR position code ?
ROLLIER, Charlotte
It is a 8 digit code that starts with 5xxxxxxx, so I don't think it is the same as the HR position code. I don't know how it is generated by SRM7.

Hamburger, Joao, would you know who generates and how that position code in SRM7 ?
