The Transportation Safety and Security Department of North America was established to provide effective communications with all businesses and operating facilities in North America, relative to transportation safety, security and regulatory compliance on both the domestic and international front.
The Department promotes regulatory compliance by preparing and offering DOT related training programs; establishing transportation policies and procedures for both hazardous and non-hazardous products, and conducts on-site auditing for compliance with government transportation regulations and related corporate policies. It assists sites in resolving regulatory compliance issues including any responses to governmental agencies. It also participates in trade association committees that are involved in the development of domestic and international shipping regulations to reduce the risk of in-transit incidents in a cost-effective manner.
