IND-HSE-ENV-01-PRO-APP - SERF reporting instructions - Appendixes to the SERF procedure IND-HSE-ENV-01-PRO

This document complements the SERF reporting procedure IND-HSE-ENV-01-PRO and provides all explanations and rules to correctly report data in the following domains:

  • emission loads of substances to air and water

  • waste volumes

  • water related parameters (intakes, uses, discharges and losses)

  • environmental management

SERF Digital Learning Modules

In order to improve the reliability of the SERF data collected on the sites, a self-learning digital training has been developed, which comprises the following 8 modules:

  • Module I Generalities

  • Module II General reporting principles

  • Module III Reporting of Emissions to Air and Water

  • Module IV Reporting on Water Management

  • Module V Reporting on Waste Management

  • Module VI Reporting on Environmental Management

  • Module VII Data Reporting with Pure

  • Module VIII Data Consultation with Pure

All modules will be delivered exclusively through the You Grow platform of the enrolled participants

For 2020, all modules will be mandatory for the Site SERF Representatives (SSR's) and they will have time till the end of December to follow them.

The last module on data consultation will be mandatory for managers from F-IND, SD or the GBUs in order to improve their knowledge of the PURE platform, so as to be able to make themselves the data extractions they are needing and which are now often asked to the corporate teams by convenience.

Persons who are interested to follow one or more of the SERF modules can contact Valerie Lorent and/or Koen Vermeiren.

Tools

Estimation of Pollutant load

The Excel/VBA application “estimation of pollutant load.xls” calculates the load (t, kg or g) of a pollutant based on several couples of effluent volume (m3 or Nm3) and concentration.

Before use, the tool should be downloaded. After having opened the tool, enable the embedded macro's by clicking on the button "Enable Content" in the Windows Security message bar.
