MFT should be used when the exchange of data needs to be done internally with in Solvay network OR when data crosses the Solvay Firewall. 

• When outbound data is being sent to a partner/customer/entity/internal application which resides inside or outside of the Solvay network, then Managed Transfer Transfer (MFT) should be used.
• When inbound data is being received from a partner/customer/entity/internal application which resides inside or outside of the Solvay network, then Managed Transfer Transfer (MFT) should be used.
