How to use Google's Macro Converter

Prerequisite

Google's Macro Converter is only available for Google Enterprised licence. 

Question: How do I know if I have Google Enterprised Licence?
Answer: If you have never requested for it before, your account is not Google Enterprised Licence.

Question: How can I request for Google Enterprised Licence?
Answer: Google Enterprised Licence is only granted for certain users who required to perform certain infra operation. If you are only requesting to use Macro Converter, your request will not be granted.

Question: How can I leverage this Macro Converter for my macro?
Answer: You can raise a freshdesk ticket and mentioned "Google App Script" as the pre-fix of the subject header.

Things to note:

  1. Macro Converter cannot convert complex codes that interact with external sources automatically (SAP, reading from another Excel, external APIs).
  2. Those parts that cannot be converted will be reflected as a report.
  3. There are 2 types of reports:
    1. Pre-conversion report. (Analyse how much can be auto converted).
    2. Post-conversion report. (Detail report of the conversion).
  4. The Pre-conversion report might be different from the post-conversion report.
  5. After the conversion, make sure you moved the converted file to desire location and set the correct owner.
