Refresh a workbook
After opening the workbook, click "Refresh All".
It the following "Store Prompts with Workbook" is ticked on workbook , there will be no prompt window, otherwise, there is a prompt.
If the following "Merge Variables" is checked for the workbook beforehand, the prompt for each data source are merged.
Otherwise, they are listed one by one >>
Refresh only one data source (instead of the whole workbook)
- Click somewhere in the data source crosstab area
Click the small triangle under "Prompts", then select "Prompts for Data Source".
Then you will be see Prompts for only this data source.
Sometimes the data source crosstab area may be only one cell with text "Data removed. Refresh to update data to display" or "No application data". Then you need to click on the cell.
If "Merge Variables" is checked for the workbook, you will not be able to select "Prompts for Data source" because you can only refresh the whole workbook in such a case.
