Data Object Definition
An Opportunity is a potential business deal that a sales team is actively pursuing with a prospect or customer. It involves tracking information about the customer problem to be solved, the Solvay products being considered, the sales stage and timing, expected revenue, and the likelihood of closing the deal. The collection of all opportunities is referred to as the Opportunity Pipeline.
Data Model
Opportunity data in the Data Lake is composed of below views:
- V_FACT_opportunity - Holds the the opportunity created by sales team to pursue a business deal with the customer
- V_FACT_opportunity_line_items - For each opportunity there will be multiple line items created per material/product

Additional Info & Comments
- Data will be sourced from Salesforce core and icare
- Opportunities will be created by customer & gbu combination
- An opportunity will be associated to one or multiple line items
- Line items will be created at material/product level (Level 1 - Level5)
Data Flow
Loading process:
Data will be refreshed from Salesforce Core and iCare into data ocean on a daily basis
Will extract full data on a daily basis and refresh into data ocean
- Jobs scheduled to run everyday at 5AM
