Data Object Definition

Unit of Measure conversions are product-specific conversion factors to convert between a product's Base Unit of Measure (UoM) and a number of Alternate Unit of Measures. For example, a product may have Base UoM Kilogram but may be invoiced to customers in Liters.

Additional Info & Comments

  • When possible, UoM conversions should preferrably be handled in the Data Lake so that a given transactional dataset (e.g. the Orderbook or Opportunity Pipeline datasets) should be preconverted into a standard UoM so that all products are on a comparable basis.
