For NA only: The first four classes in Section 5 are duplicates of classes in Section 9. They appear in both sections in the property tree, but it is the same class, so if you update it in one section, you are updating it in both sections.

• Extinguishing Media. There are two characteristics: Suitable and Unsuitable. They will each appear with their respective subtitle on the SDS in subsection 5.1.

• Hazards During Fire-Fighting : you may use the dedicated class for Hazardous Combustion Products (which is independent from the hazardous decomposition products listed in section 10). It is optional.

• Protective Equipment for Fire-Fighting appears in subsection 5.3 under the heading “Special protective equipment for fire-fighters”.

• Fire-Fighting/Further Advice
  • The information in the characteristic “Specific Extinguishing Methods” appears in subsection 5.3 under the heading “Specific fire fighting methods” and the information in the characteristic “Further Advice” appears under the heading “Further information”.

• The HAZCHEM code is maintained in section 14 by the DG Admin but the information is displayed in both section 5 and 14 for Australia and New Zealand
