- The same class, Components with OEL is used, but populated by the various dedicated rules “Hazardous ingredients”. There is typically 1 instance per country or group of countries because of national listings and different threshold limits. A comparison table is available on the dedicated training item.
- Note that the SAEL are automatically taken into account by the rule
- However for the ACGIH OEL, they are taken into account by all rules but EU. For this reason we added a condition on the template so that they can be displayed anyway, if they are listed in section 3
- Additionally, an instance may be maintained manually for :
- OEL for decomposition products
- OEL for PNOS (use Pure Sub 100000010442)
- National and ACGIH BEI are also displayed
- NIOSH IDLH also appears on the US template
- DNEL and PNEC also appear automatically on the EU template based on data coming from the Pure Sub. They can also be manually added in the spec listing of the corresponding classes.
All the other classes are mapped under 8.2.
- We reused a standard class: Operational Conditions: General to maintain the phrase covering the Article 17 or 18 of REACH. The phrase and display did not change
- Advice on System design
- Respiratory protection: we are using the standard class but the problem is that the characteristic Filter type can only accept single values. As a consequence, make sure to separate the Advice on one side and the Recommended filter type on the other
- We face a similar problem with Hand protection because the standard characteristic Material can only accept single values. The phrases in Advice are always mapped first
- To maintain a glove material alone with a few remarks, only use the characteristic Advice
- But to provide details about the type of glove, then only fill the characteristic Material and the others, without any Advice
- For eye protection we use the standard class which has only 1 characteristic. To maintain recommendation “if splashes”, just maintain it in a 2nd instance after a subtitle phrase
- Similarly for body protection, use phrases as subtitle
- Note in the 2 examples above how you can control the spacing by using multiple values or instances and therefore highlight some phrases
- Hygiene measures: same class. Remember this class is duplicated in section 7!
- For Environmental precautions we use a standard class: Add. Good Practice Advice: Environment. This is mapped to all templates but NA.
